"Flossing" - the best lower limb neural mobilisation for the posterior chain from the lumbar spine through to the toes. Also called LLNP or lower limb neural provocation - it's mostly focusing on the sciatic nerve - "flossing" is the best way to mobilise the neural tissue through the posterior chain soft tissue and muscles - freeing up the back of the leg tension and lower back. Neural tissue elongates up to 8% but you can't stretch and lengthen it like muscle over time - you can only mobilise and free it up - aiming to reduce neural tension in the legs. hips and lower back. Also check out neural slumps.

Amazing mate! Always flossed due sciatic tension after training but the simple addition of the plantar flexion gave instant relief. Thank you 🙏

Thank you so much, this is painful but helping. This was the first bit of advice on nerve flossing that offered a progression. I'm not even close to being able to sit with straight legs like most videos show... but getting there :)

Thanks for the great video! I'm going to work on flossing daily for a while since I can't touch my toes due to tightness behind my knees. I have three questions:
1. Does the resting leg need to be straight, or can it be bent, is this important?
2. Should I be doing full range of motion (as much as possible) during flossing?
3. Will this help with lower back pain/tightness? Or should I add some neck nerve flossing to hit the lumbar nerve area?
Thanks!

Could this help get rid of lower back pumps? Maybe turn on my glutes and hamstrings

Great video. The 2nd part of the video involving the band; Is that helping to stretch the hamstring or the neural tissue? Or both? :D

Hi Doc, would you recommend starting with the neural flossing or the other video for hamstring stretch? Or can I alternate between both of them? As in should I be rectifying one before the other?

Could my sciatica be linked to knee pain? i have pain with sciatica only around my hamstrings, & I found it I was stretching the sciatic nerve in both legs not my hamstrings... so both legs are affected. I also have burning pain in my knees could these be connected do you think? any answer is appreciated.

Should I do this if I have a trapped nerve that is affecting the back of my leg?

When I do the very first exercise in this routine, I only feel pain and stretching in my calf, I feel nothing in my hamstring(no pain/no stretch). What is my problem/challenge and what should I do? Thx in advance!

My doctor says I have nerve damage in my s1 its low low back an across my right buttcheek. Suffer maybe 25-50 pound loss as when I lift heavy it strains it an hurts. (Tried dead lifting 225 before I knew what I was doing) Maybe this will help
