How to Find Out What Processor Your Android Phone or Tablet Uses

This video shows how to find out what processor (CPU) your Android phone or tablet uses. You can use this information to find out more about how your phone compares to new phones on the market, and to learn a bit more about the internals of your phone.

The way to find this is to download the free app from the Google play store, CPU-Z.

Then, farther down it shows how much your processor cores are being utilized. If you Android phone or tablet battery is dying a lot faster than it used to, you can check to see if the cores are always running at a high speed. Then you would know that you probably have some software that is always running that is killing your battery.

Farther below, it also shows your GPU renderer. This is important for really graphics intensive apps like games.

Would love some info about what are reasonable thermals for your cell phone. I had an LG G4 which kept overheating and died. Replaced 3 times. For some unknown reason I got an lgg6 and it's already running at 39 degrees according to cpuid so wondering if that's good or not good? Anyone. Buehler?
