The casting of young vs older actors is the most perfect I've ever seen in any movie tbh

"What's wrong, pookie" walked, so "Hey there, baby girl" from 365 could run.

The scene when she returns home to her family and they immediately welcome her back into their lives, after what I can only assume would be years of no contact, absolutely breaks me each time. Billy Joel's "Vienna" playing just makes the scene that much better. Regardless of how well some things have aged, the heart in this movie is beautiful.

Imagine someone from 2007 accidentally entered 2024 and was like “Why does my phone keep losing battery? I swear Nokia 3310 took care of this.”

"Oh god not his thingy" the casting for Judy Greer was amazing.

There's something about Ruffalo in this movie. And their chemistry in general, it was so sweet and pure. Shows us how our purity and ability to be vulnerable can be stripped away from us when we reach adulthood. She brought that out of him again, just like when they were kids. it was so :') I wish there were more movies like this.

The casting for this movie was perfect! Everyone genuinely looks like older versions of the younger actors and Jennifer Garner portrays a 13 year olds innocence so well! Also the line delivery of “what’s wrong pookie” is pure gold 🤣

Ok, this movie does have many problems, but can we all agree that Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo have amazing chemistry and the movie is endlessly entertaining?

One thing I'll say for this movie: it didn’t do the "love-interest ditches fiancé in favor of protagonist" cliché.

Ruffalo's character was tempted. But but he stuck to his commitment and Gardner's character had to face the consequences of her past actions.

Now, time-travel gave her a second chance, but the fiancé never had to get screwed over to make it happen.

unironically, i still watch this movie when i’m having deep depressive episodes, cause i love jennifer garner and that movie is such a “healing childhood” movie

12:54 LMFAOOOO *"what's wrong pookie?"*
Gotta be the same energy as *"not now kitten whiskers, daddy will discuss it later!"*

The blindfold she's wearing at the party is the sleep mask she's wearing when she wakes up.

The apartment in the "30 flirty and thriving" article is the apartment she's living in in the future.

The guy she throws the shrimp tail on is the same guy who's drink she drops the pineapple wedge in.

Just watched this again recently. Not gonna lie; other than being a little annoyed with how Matt didn't come clean to either woman when he recognized what he was doing was wrong, it was REALLY great how Jenna accepted the rejection. Yes, she came for the last-chance begging, but she didn't make a scene or try to hurt the bride. "I want you to be happy because I love you, " is underrated and glossed over, but is such a mature and healthy response to rejection.

"nothing more important than being the coolest kids in middle school"
I mean when you are a kid in middle school and have to live in that hierarchy daily then yeah, it absolutely is
middle school was a unique hell of its own

There’s a certain innocence about this movie, that you just don’t see these days. It’s about a woman who’s just trying to become a good person. I rewatched it a few weeks ago, and when it ended, I had the biggest smile on my face.

It's a small detail but I really liked how the pattern on the scarf of 13 year old Jenna becomes the pattern on the eye mask of 30 year old Jenna.
