Another season, another anti-haul! It is winter and I won’t have a proper wardrobe until spring since we’re going to renovate. So this is not a time to go shopping. So it’s time to shut my wallet and save some money. What do you think, are you also feeling like you should skip shopping this season, or are you in the mood for something new? Either way, these are 6 things I won’t be buying this winter, because they're either short-lived trends, wrong for me personally, or because I’ve already got a good option at home. Let’s see what you think.

I talk about:
- everything about roses
- wearable artwork
- ultra femme romanticism
- luxury brands
- short lived trends
- column dresses
- the problem with floor length dresses
- spots and dots
- polka dots trend
- rompers
- wacky white shirts
- boyfriend shirts
- what to buy
- what not to buy
- which fashion trends are bad

In a world that’s always trying to get us to buy something, anti-hauls offer a sense of comfort to me. 💖

Hi, Jenny, could you make a video on plant-leather (no plastic), talking about the brands you know and like for bags and shoes?? Would be so helpful. Thanks!

—- I’ve wasted so much money over the years on clothes. Today I just put together 3 huge trash bags full of clothing that I plan to donate to charity. I feel like I don’t want to buy anything anymore!

Honestly: Leopard/animal print is more kind of a "mindset". If you aren't fond of it, it is indeed a "volatile" love it, so I don't care if it is out of style and I don't get tired of it. If I see a leopard-piece in a timeless shape and it suits me well, I'd buy it - preferably second hand, though 😉

I only buy clothes if they will work with things I already own. This year I did buy a metallic skirt. Admittedly it's not an every day piece but I have a range of tops, jumpers, shoes and boots it works very well with. I've worn it once last week and plan to wear it to another event next week with a third already lined up. The price per wear should be down to around £20 by the start of 2023 so that's not bad. I'll wear it year after year too so i will get my moneys worth. Other than that my only purchases have been a warmer dressing gown and a selection of cosy socks!

I think if there is a bright colour you like and it suits you, you can rock it every time.
I do not really like sequins, but more due to the noise they make, but I do own a lurex dress

I'm always amazed people manage to actually buy clothes multiple times a year! Every time I blink another month passed...

I have one black dress with sequins and I wore it juste for Christmas or birthdays in November-December ; it’s my celebration dress :)

tomorrow I volunteer at the local food pantry. Clothing choices are much easier with my clients in mind. Anti-haul is not hard to embrace when you spend time with people who struggle to feed their families. Celebrate minimalism and give your time, talents and treasures to others always.

I have a vintage YSL black sequin tuxedo blazer and you better believe I bring it out when I feel festive! Sequins can have longevity as long as they're classic pieces like a nice tank or shell, pencil skirt, blazer etc...

I like brighter things in general so I'm ok with one or 2. The cat print if it's very minimal, corset I don't wear, leather I don't wear, sparkles don't feel like dealing with washing it. Mismatch isnt really me.

Thanks for talking about the gorgeous vegan leather alternatives! I’ve got a few pairs of shoes made with fruit leathers and I’ve seen so many beautiful and resourceful products online as well. They’re making leather out of mango, grapes, apples, pineapple, cactus, corn, and cereal grains. Usually these companies are also conscious of the other materials that are in the product as well and using sustainable options. ✌🏻💚💚💚💚

I actually disliked sequins before I bought black sequined pants for a corporate party. Now, I adore them, so comfy and fun! Plus, I tone them down with a punk longsleeve, so they don't look so festive.

Thanks so much for this, Jenny!

Also, I'd love to see a video on quality, and waterproof puffer coat options, if you get a chance!

I have bought barely any clothing this year. I really just wear all my favorite items over and over. It would have to be something I truly love to buy.

I always had more of a minimal style but the last two years my style changed a bit and I now realized I rotate through minimal and mix and max maximal looks 🤍💙

I love your fashion videos, I got an urge to call my mum and thank her 😅 as long as I can remember, we always buy things high quality, durable. Even when I was a kid, she would buy high quality clothes and give my girly clothes to my cousins or keep my gender neutral ones for my brother! I still follow that mantra. For example, I have a trench coat I bought in 2016 and still wear it. This is such a great habit and glad seeing this content on your page!

I like a colored suit but it’s gotta be the right color for you. I think if I got hot pink it would be very short lived, but if I get like a teal blue it would be a classic in my wardrobe 😉 However, I have a friend who would always love to rock a hot pink suit and a sequin top to the office no matter the trends.

How do plant leather age over time?
The reason I pick secondhand leather over plastic is because of the product lifespan. If plant leather is sustainable and age well then that’s amazing!

I bought a pair of magenta parachute pants, a neon pink fleece pullover, a neon yellow cable knit sweater this season. They go really well with neutral color jackets, bags, and footwear.
