I got you piper. Saving faith is a phenomenology event in christian life and involves the whole structure of the human being. Saving faith is a gift from god given to us by the spirit, at the moment we believe for salvation simultaneously we are united with Christ. At that same moment we are been spiritually resurrected. As well at that moment the spirit of adoption is given to us. And believing for salvation is an evidence of the new born. So you tell me that the nature of saving faith is just assenting with just reason and intellect. Today theologians try to domesticate saving faith...
