Avebury summer solstice midsummer 2021. Two days camping at a peaceful friendly traditional event UK

Date of hike 19/06/2021 to 21st June 2021
Hope everyone had a great summer solstice. I hope for for common sense to prevail with a positive season. I had two nights camping and waiting for the sunrise of the summer solstice on the Morning of 21st June 2021. Second night was not a planned camp i had to much whisky and mead so friend put the tent up for me to crash out in as could not move hahaha and was a cold night. We took the tent down around the sunrise. There was a break in the clouds we got a sunrise on the powerful positive day. Really enjoyed it. Was less crowds this Year most peaceful and relaxing ever seen it on this event. Everyone we met was very friendly. I saw a some one offering to to help pick up rubbish as well. We both cleared up as we always do. Got the bus back to Swindon in the morning. Wishing all a fantastic summer..

Public transport advice. If you book in advance it can be much cheaper. Try seeing what the price is for each train jorney it may work out cheaper buying a ticket for each train in advance than one train ticket for the whole journey. Same for national express coaches and Megabus. Stagecoach offer week tickets for a county local area or larger area.
