As one who rode in the joust in my youth at our local Renaissance festival. The hits in this movie brought back many a pleasant memory. But those hits, even though there was a balsa wood section in the lance, if planted squarely, still hurt and could cause broken ribs because of the delay in the lance breaking. We loved it. Then Lawyers and Insurance companies, (what a lot of pu$$ies), got involved and the lances were reduced to the size of broom sticks and hits were phased out. Most of us stopped riding then, they did what they have always done best, take all the fun out of any activity. That last hit on Adamar was EPIC. And I can tell you from experience would have hurt really bad and could have cleaned off your horse, balsa wood or not.

Every time I watch this movie it looks like Count Adhemar is levitating over the ground instead of actually lying on the ground.

I loved this scene, cuz dat villain said the same to the hero before out of their own ego. It was funny to see it come full circle.

The presenter of the bad guy gave me the vibes of Lord Farquaad from Shrek... probably due to the hair and jaw line :D

So annoying when people pretend Heath Ledger was a legendary actor. He did this crappy movie and Dark Knight. He was cool as The Joker, but he's achieved legendary status for basically one role. Overrated. Philip Seymour Hoffman died, and he had double the talent and far less fame.
