This happened with my bestfriend. She had a Pomeranian, cooper, which we were both very close to. Last year in may, while at school we were discussing how we would celebrate his birthday which was coming in a couple days. My bestfriend was so excited, she was glowing with happiness.
Cooper died later that Evening due to an accident. I remember crying with her over call....

To clear things up for what happened at the end, The reason she said “Do you see Bert up there” is because the Guy died. If you look at the name of the guy on text is has a white dove explaining that he died

I had to put my cat down due to old age about 4 years ago. 2 years later, my aunt (who raised me) passed away due to complications after a surgery. Shortly after she told him she had to cancel her plans and he was sad, the reason being is that bert was cutely sleeping on her and she didn't want to wake him up, they then talked for a little, she would always call him after his business meetings to tell him hi and let him see Bert, but sadly a little bit before he turned 3 she had to put him down (she didn't say why), at the end she texted him a picture of the sky and asked "Do you see Bert up there?". Very sad ending 😢
