I am a Japanese person learning English. I'm glad to hear that you've started learning Japanese. I think speaking and listening to Japanese is not that difficult for Americans, but reading and writing it can be challenging. There are some foreigners who speak surprisingly fluent Japanese, and many of them say they learned it through anime. The most important thing is which anime you choose, right?

8:16 not の but を for gods sake or 酒 if you will

I'm definitely excited about AI for conversation practice, though from what I've gathered it doesn't quite seem fully there just yet. But hopefully soon! Its great at English though.
About a few months ago I got Migaku and its super helpful for me as an immersing tool and even as a semi-beginner because of its many other features. It even has a pitch trainer!
I'll try to keep an eye on Langia's progress though, as it seems like it could be a useful additional tool in the future!

Go for it. It’s a long and difficult journey. I’m a native English speaker with 10year of Japanese study. Still a long way from where I want to be. Good luck.
also I noticed a mistake in your example ‘watashi wa sushi no tabemasu.’ It should be ‘wo’ or ‘o’ normally with を.
