Boat catches fire and burns at Cresent Beach near Nelson BC - TMTVNEWS.COM - A boat caught fire at approximately 2:30PM Friday afternoon at Cresent Beach just north of Nelson. No injuries have been reported in the incident and the fire is now out. The smoke could be seen for miles attracting many on-lookers. Balfour Fire Department responded but was unable to gain access to the fire. A local good Samaritan hooked onto the boat and pulled it away from the docks and beach swimming area were it eventually burned itself out.
