Agreed, the problem is there is no logic board on the 4k Blueray Drive.
Hence the reason for the soldering, anyway there's always professional fitting services.

The Board needs to sit in the little dip in the tray, as long as you remove the little peg on the PSU it should close fine.
The other way is to actually house the board outside the Ps3, the leads are long enough to do this.

Not any more, all versions of 3k3y work without the 3Dump. There is also a revised version of the 3k3y for slims head over to Eurasia.nu to check it out. Also another thing to be aware of Cobra is huge, you try fitting it in a SuperSlim.

You can play on PSN with no problems, but please be aware that as with any modding you do run the risk of being banned.
The xk3y is 2+ years old and NO BANS, 3K3Y is now a year old and NO BANS.

The solding... A little zooming wouldn't be wrong so We can see exactly where each Cable is solded... Since the all Thing is a Risk for the Console

Yes it will work on 4004a.
The fw is the same for all models

You do know that this is a Mod Chip ;).

The problem is the Consoles are getting more complicated, it will be interesting to see what happens with the Xbox One and Ps4.

Talking of simple days I miss the days of Tape to Tape recording of games back in the days of the Zx Spectrum, no Mod Chips then.

Most soldering irons that you buy you can change the tips.
For this you need to use a very fine tip, the components that need soldering are extremely small.
A quick Google search will show you what I mean.

i'm not saying this is bad but the cobra ode you don't need to be jailbroken and its alot less soldering and yes it works on super slim 4.46 and later firmware

The Main board will be the same (The larger of the two), but there will be a different adapter board.

Any kind of soldering is still risky, that's the main issue with current ODE'S.

I just used my Thumb nail, they flick of very easily.

One other thing to be aware of is you need a VERY fine soldering Iron tip.

TBH My camera wouldn't show anything that close, there is a link to the install manual that you can read along side this video.

I agree this is a huge risk to the console, I managed to blow my PSU.

The Slim 20xx/21xx is plug and play. See my other videos as I have a tutorial for the Slim Ps3.
25xx/30xx will need some soldering.

ATM 4xxxxC Models are not supported as these have different motherboards.
