3k3y Install on a slim PS3. Chech 2103a (20xx and 21xx are the same)
At the moment 3.55 cfw is still needed to extract the Blue ray key.

You are indeed correct, this is something that the team have been working on for some time now.
This should be the final nail in the coffin for that cobra device.

This 3k3y was recalled as a lot of people were having problems, there is a new model being released shortly.
Price I would think it will be around £70-80.
If you are running 3.55 or 4.30 you will be able to install the 3k3y keydumper .pkg and extract your key, once you have this you are free to upgrade to the latest OFW.
As with playing online it is safe but not guaranteed.

AFAIK Models 25xx and 30xx will need to be soldered to the PlayStation motherboard. These models have not been released yet so there's not to many details as of yet.

ATM No, the only models that work without cfw are the 3k3y phat (Pata) and the soon to be released 4k model.

"No Keys" fw for all models of Ps3 should be released shortly.

chechk01/04 and 06 are confirmed as working.
As already mentioned you soon won't need to be on cfw.
The 3key will be able to be installed and run on any ps3 regardless of firmware.
cfw was only needed for key extraction, with the release of the new firmware there is no need for the Bdump.
When released and if needed I may put up a video showing this.

The file that I put on my SD card was the Bdump obtained from the Ps3's Blu ray Drive.
ATM the 3k3y (phat) and the soon to be released Super Slim can be used on ofw. This will change all versions will work on ofw as they are released.
CFW (Bdump) is still the preferred method of Install.

Tiny update. According to a recent FB update by the 3k3y team, CFW is no longer required and it will grab the key from all drives. That's all it says right now.

Well not really because at the time this was the only way to install the .PKG file needed for key extraction.

This is no no longer the case as they are no longer needed.

I would advise that you also buy the remote, not needed but helps if you have a problem.

1. Do i need to buy the Remote Kit and if not what advantages do i get from it?
2. Can i buy the 3k3y now for my 21xx Slim and use it as soon as the firmware update comes?
3. Is it possible to use the so called jailbreakrips?

where can i buy this i cant find it anywhere! and it looks like there's no one for 20xx or 21xx anymore witch doesnt make any since. becuase they make them for every other model, so could you help me clear this up, is there still a 3Key for Ps3 Slim 20xx or 2100 models? thank you :D
