He was anointed as king, but refrained from forcing the kingdom from Saul, even granting Saul mercy by sparing his life while entrusting his own promotion into the Lord's hands. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

This is so much more difficult than I think most of us are willing to admit. I also think it is a both and situation, meaning we want to serve God and bless people while the same time the carnal mind wants to be known. Men crave respect and status, we have a natural inclination towards those things. Also recognition from people can ultimately translate in our minds to God being pleased with us or His anointing. Seeking acceptance is birthed from insecurities, I've experienced this in my own life. What I think the answer to this is, is the following. God's plan and His timing for my life is perfect. Matthew 6:33 Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. He knows the desires of our hearts, and granting the desires of our hearts is reserved for those who delight themselves in the Lord. God is faithful even when we are not and He will work the wrong intentions and motives out of our hearts. We need only to submit to His plan vs our plan. What if God doesn’t want a large platform for us? Would that be ok? What if we pray and minister in small rooms where people are genuinely hurting, and no one ever sees but God? Would that be ok?

I struggled with this reality. I noticed this two drives, each of them was as intense as the other. And my conscience figured out that the flesh could win, and it was already restlessly pushing forward, so I stopped. I have not yet fully started because of this fact. The flesh is a sniper. It is more subtle than we think. I can relate to every thing you are saying here. Thank You sir.

This is so timely and needed to be heard by many ministers both young and old.

It is possible to do the right thing for the wrong reasons, is my take away here. Let Jesus be the center of it all. ❤

...as an introvert, I am perfectly okay with not being seen😂. BUT, I tend to fall into the category of hiding my talents and perhaps not letting my light shine openly to those around me. We each have our unique struggles and crosses to bear.

That story about the pastor is sad more so because whatever his pure desire was at the time was shifted due to man's disappointment and that to me resonates to even check my heart on some things and evaluate the disappointments in my own life.

I dont see how people want a big platform. The responsibility is crucial, and what comes with that is because you'll be judged and held to a higher standard.

I believe there alot of false humility going of people saying they want to do what they do for others, but their heart truly says otherwise

Also, i believe there pastor they say dream big, think big and dont limit God that can encourage that. I understand what they mean but i belive it crucial to know Gods plan for you and not get ahead of oneself. There needs to be balance

Who cares about fame, seriously? Most famous Christians had no idea that would happen and many of them tell you of the challenges of it. I actually enjoy going places and being able to get in and out with out being approached every time I go anywhere. It is a huge burden for people that have influence. Fame is not the goal, but sometimes it happens due to God wanting people to be touched by the Lord.

I believe that anyone who preaches that those with homosexual tendencies must live chaste and not get married and always live single must do so with a pure heart. We must also study the topic well and not think that a phrase from the Bible or the opinion of a 90-year-old grandmother who lived in another era is enough. We must also try not to deceive people by telling them that a prayer is enough to heal. Or listen to the opinion of those who are homophobic, think that the Christian religion is the religion of the privileged or live the condition in secret and use the topic only for political and therefore impure ends. Whoever lives with this temptation, barring a true miracle, will live there forever. Except he doesn't lie to himself and gets married to cover up by ruining entire families with lies. There is nothing worse than living with the feeling that God hates you and therefore we are responsible for exaggerations and blasphemies. That said, living single. it is a very heavy cross that leads to truly heavy loneliness. they are often lonely people, who like everyone else dream of a relationship. So let's avoid continuing to post photos on social media with boyfriends (fake like a film) like everyone else in the world does, in intimate attitudes, or continue to talk about relationships and build profiles on these subjects. It's easy to say that if you have Jesus you have everything...:) Posting photos in which we are happy and content because as a couple is a constant slap in the face. The message that arrives is that only when you are engaged you are happy and fulfilled. Jesus says that there is nothing more beautiful than giving life to a friend, not posting photos on social media as a couple😊 Let's also start by not demonizing the entire category, talking about demons, exorcisms and let's condemn preachers or street preachers who to increase clicks they go to gay pride to create controversy. Considering what we have put gays through in history the stupidest thing you can do is throw stones at them. If we want to be close to Jesus, let's learn to carry the crosses of others, not just tripping over them while they carry them in a bad way or thinking that a little prayer is enough to be at peace with our Christian conscience. if we can't give up our Hollywood posts, we don't want to study the topic, we accept that we are not able to preach and that it is better to leave the topic alone.

I always question the motives behind a church opening a service with an offering of “outdoing one another” …if we are called as a church body to be unified in Christ Jesus then why the stirring of the competitive vibe amongst a congregation? that seems more man-made than Holy Spirit driven and led.

Well… I think if “Christian’s” read there Bible fully they would understand John the Baptist when he says “I must decrease and He must increase”.

Sad reality is most are only reading “devotionals” which is more man’s perspective than the actual Word of God. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not even a minute into the video and the guy on the left says “OMG”. It makes me sad how even the “religious” people of our society will take God’s holy name and use it flippantly. 😢
