Proud to say that leprosy is very rare here in my country and is often treated very early. Somehow patients do not know what it is and come in fearing the worse, but all get better after a course of rifampin and dapsone

The bible says that leprosy causes snow whiteness in the skin. This disease doesn't seem to be doing that. Maybe the leprosy in the bible, and the one mentioned here are two different things.

Fun Fact: Armadillos are the final form of full-on Leprosy.... Seriously... My great grandmother is an armadillo now. It sucks, but it expands the expected lifetime, so thats cool.
