2019 Toyota RAV4 2.5 LE - Full Review

When Toyota Philippines launched the all-new RAV4 a few months ago, we were somewhat at a loss for words.

The reason wasn't because of the looks, the feel, or the price. It was because of the drivetrain: this RAV4 will only be offered (at least for now) in front-wheel drive only.

After spending some time behind the wheel of this new 2019 Toyota RAV4 LE, I'm trying to figure out whether Toyota's decision to snap away the 4WD variants was a bad move, or their most sensible one yet. We'll get to that later.

It would’ve been more bearable if the camera pointed towards the different nooks and crannies of the car.

No hate for the guy, but its really a torture that viewers were expecting so see the car inside and out, but ended up staring at this guy like he’s the star of the show, and not the Rav4.

The entire video feels like you’re being confined in a small room with a sales guy with endless blah-blahs about the car he’s selling, without even showing you the actual features of the car.

Wag nyo na to ulitin, please!

Love and peace!

😍😍😍

Normally the reviews here are excellent but this one seems to be a bit off. Too much drifting from the nitty gritty of the car and more of random stories about the lineage or the segment.

Please tell us more about the car.

Space
Performance
Infotainment good? Bad?
Driving dynamics
What it lacks etc

There were snippets of the above here, but the presenters drifted away a bit.

Overstretched review and too much extra topics that should not be talked to keep this review more objective. Nonetheless, thanks for sharing your personal experience.

Say what you want, but you can't deny that it is the best selling on its class beating CRV and X-Trail in the US. If you can't afford it then go for the cheaper competition. It is Toyota and go for the thing that makes you happy (if it is the RAV4).

Waiting for Rav4 diesel. CRV did it. Tucson and Sportage did the same.

Informative. If I buy this, do they remove that RAV4 label infront?

I now prefer this one instead of the Fortuner 2.8Q

Just as quick and powerful

And might as just be as fuel efficient

(despite this one being a gasoline model, but at least. It's easier to maintain than the diesel latter)

And just as capable

Just as fully loaded....

And best of all?

It's more affordable 😉

At About 1.6m to P1.7m

Compare to my favorite 2.8Q Fort (at about P1.9m to P2m)

The last model was way BETTER looking than the current Rav4. Car is overpriced too. The review wasn't that natural too

Just put it on paper if you do not intend to show us more of the vehicle

Decent review. However, It would have been better if the review focused on the features of the car and it's practicality. Also, no car is perfect and that is why it would be nice if u're also going to criticize the vehicle being reviewed.

Why is it in most countries the rav4 has technology and in phils there is nothing? Dealership monopoly buys cheap and screws the buyer.
No front rear parking sensors, no adaptive cruise control, no lane departure warning, no navigation, no power lift gate. It's really bad.

this is included in my short list before settling for the crv sx, my problem with this is it's not as good looking as the crv.

It does indeed speak for itself...but in its price range models ...not a good recommendation. I prefer isuzu mux to be wise enough practically speaking

The ugliest looking infotainment screen I have ever seen in the age of borderless screen.

Puro about Subic naman tong review na to. The title should be Driving the RAV4 in Subic on a Weekend

Inantok ako sa video. Masyado naka focus yung video sa tao at hindi sa kotse.

Stripped of toyota sensing. Who needs them? plus it's not even a hybrid.
