To everyone....

Hold the main button over the app on the main menu, and click update on the app. That's all it requires.

Thank you so much for the fix!!! I NEVER had this problem with my YouTube on my Roku TV... I miss that TV already.

Good tip however it didn’t work for me either. I had previously unplugged the Google Chrome device and then followed your video instructions, did it twice just to make sure. Unplug the device again and it still did not work. Not sure if it said device or something going on with YouTube perhaps. I even did a reset on the Google Chrome device. Are there any other options?

My issue is the settings won't open at all, I've factory reset the device, tried different accounts and still nothing

Solved my issue, thanks! (force quitting youtube was enough for me)

This really did work. Now, both the Tablo and the Chromecast with Google TV (other apps) are working very well. Thanks also for the clue re: ethernet connection versus wireless. I had no idea that was a possibility. Don't know if you can answer this; is it the wireless connection that is getting honked up? Stated another way, would hard-wiring with Ethernet cable solve or reduce the occurrence? Willing to hazard a guess?
