My cousin was incarcerated at the age of 17 back in 1991 and was one of the first wave of inmates when this prison opened. He spent a total of 30 years in prison. He is now a youth counselor for the Los Angeles Probation Department and has not only paid his debt to society but is now giving back to his community.

I was there on the B Yard in early 2000s...worst program. Split tier/split yard program cause of the East Coast Crips stabbing up Staff in the program office. Slept on the floor when it was over 100 degrees..swamp coolers barely worked. Worst time of my life.

I was busted in calipat from 2015-2017. The summers were HELL. 115 degrees i was dark af when I left there.

Great stuff as always. I’m not sure if Iv said this or not already but you should do one on Lukasville here in Ohio. Extremely famous prison, longest prison riot ever was there in 1993. There’s video of the riot, on staff stabbings and of an inmate stabbing you can use for content. Also Georgia’s prison system would be good, there’s a LOT of YouTube videos and TicToks of insdide Georgia prisons

I remember my Dad telling me about this place back in the 90's, he was the Semi driver who shuttled all the pallets of snacks for commissary and this prison was on his route, he would go there weekly from what I remember.... The name as a kid always sounded cool when he would say Old memories

Unfortunately I was there in 2017 and they offered absolutely nothing. No program, no classes, no nothing to do. The Sargent would cancel canteen whenever he wanted to. I'm talking about the support yard of course.
And yes it does bake like an oven out there.

I just came home from the Bay I was in the back for 12 years one of the last to have my sentence commuted. Before going to the back I was in Old Folsom 8 years I started in Tracy mainline

I was on B yard for 6 years before i got transferred . SUR

I was at Calipatria from 1992-95. Flipped A yard to PC moving everyone to Lancaster prison. Ironwood A yard from 2000 to 2009 then flipped to PC moving everyone to C-D yards. Release in 2013 three strikes law free to this day. Baseball I was called.
