Im Catholic and love my Faith, but that priest on cnn sounds quite biased, and ignorant. He was using the oldest argument Against God when non-believers say God let's bad things happen to people.

I agree 100%! At my Catholic Bible study last night a man mocked Trump for speaking those words. I think if this man had escaped death the way Trump did, he might voice those same words or if he survived what should have been a fatal car accident. When I was only 6 years old, I was stricken with guillain-barre syndrome and my entire body was paralysed except for my lungs. This was in 1958 when the iron lung was in use and they did not have all the medical technology and medicines they have now. I have a vivid memory of my parents, nuns, doctor standing at my bedside. It was a Catholic hospital. I would drift in and out of consciousness
crying and seeing the serious and sad looks on everyone's face. Miraculously, I survived after being paralyzed for 6-8 weeks. That memory I had was the turning point. After that I slowly began to recover. It took me months to learn to walk again and learn to reuse my arms, hands and fingers and regain my voice.
I could not swallow so I could not eat for
many weeks. I don't know how they sustained me. I remember waking in the middle of the night with a nun oh so quietly standing off to the side of my bed - praying I am sure. I know it was by God's grace that I survived. People of all ages die everyday. Death is part of our life on earth. Some people are spared. If you are one whose life was spared you do believe God had a hand in your survival!! I don't want this to go to Trump's head though where he thinks he is invincible and can do whatever he wants! He needs to pray for wisdom to lead America and God's guidance to carefully make his decisions.

I believe it because this whole entire country was praying for someone to bring us back into reality to save us from this moral decay and it’s ridiculous that the President of United States has to actually tell us that there’s two sexes does anyone realize how scary America got for the last four years!

Yes, I think God is partisan. That is why there is a Heaven and a hell, good and evil, right and wrong, repentant sinners and the unrepentant. Why else would He have instituted the Church to guide and teach us?

The first priest didn’t say in the beginning that this is my opinion or my thought process on it
The second man here said that he disagrees so he’s stating that he is not God and not all knowing and that’s important to always be able to discern. No one should sit there and take their own outlook and opinion and twist it into any way that that’s what God would say.
