With Ruthless Vows, if you go into it knowing that it much more war driven and less romance, you will enjoy the storyline unfolding. I think a lot of people were expecting heavy romance with Iris and Rowan and that led them to disappointment. But the whole first book was kind of to lead up to the war between the gods and so Ruthless Vows is the story of that but Rowan and Iris are very much at the center of it. I thought it was a truly beautiful story. Hope you enjoy!

Not In Love was so good! I adored it, it was deep and it was cute! One of my goals for the end of the year would be to reread the Twilight series, start the Mortal Instruments (I've been dying to read it too, the TV series was great) and maybe read Harry Potter 3-4.

Ruthless Vows is more focused on the politics and war in the world and has parts of romance. As a history lover who loves historical romance I loved Ruthless Vows and it was a 5 stars for me

Heyyy Alexa! I personally enjoyed ruthless vows a lot, I would just go in with the right expectations. It’s definitely not as romance heavy as the first one, but instead focuses on more of the politics and gods of the world. It’s also more slow paced, so make sure you don’t read it in a slump. There is still plenty of amazing moments between iris and Roman and good closure, just expect more fantasy than romance and I think you’ll enjoy it ❤🫶🏻

If you’re looking for a descriptive and whimsical fantasy read, then I recommend ‘Strange the Dreamer’ by Laini Taylor. I read this a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I ended up also reading ‘Muse of Nightmares, ’ which is the second book in this duology. I also recommend it as well. On another reading note, if you’re an avid reader like me, then Immersive Translate is definitely for you. It’s basically a free browser extension that supports over 100+ languages. You can use it to translate all your ebooks into any language. Are you also into manga? There’s even a cool feature, where you can get accurate translations to the manga you’re currently reading, which is a real bonus.
