The New York Times plum torte | Easy and delicious plum pie

It’s my first experience making The New York Times famous plum torte. Though the recipe is simple and easy, not everything worked out :) Nevertheless it turned out to be delicious!

🥘Ingredients:
- 12 plums, halved and pitted
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup softened butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- salt, a pinch

For topping:
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2-3 tbsp lemon juice

📝Instructions:
- Beat up butter and sugar in a bowl
- Add eggs, sifted flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt
- Beat up well
- Place the batter into a 9-inch springform
- Nestle the plum halves skin side up on the batter
- Sprinkle with lemon juice, brown sugar and cinnamon
- Bake in oven preheated to 180°C for about 1 hour
