How To Edit A TikTok Video After Posting

Learn how to edit any TikTok Video after posting it live on TikTok in this quick and easy tutorial.

TikTok is pretty strict when it comes to editing your videos after posting. Similar to Twitter, TikTok takes the approach that you basically can't change anything after uploading and posting a video, including the caption, hashtags, and of course the clip itself. But before giving up, there is something you can do!

Thus, you will want to go to the video you want to edit, save the video to your camera roll so you can easily use it in the future. Upload and post a new video with whatever you wanted to change and go back in and delete the initial video. This will, unfortunately, mean you lose all of your likes and comments, but this is really the only way to change the video or edit it after posting. Perhaps the mistake isn't big enough to go through deleting it and uploading a new version? Or maybe it is!

You didn't explain how to edit a video on TikTok. The truth is you can't edit one once it's uploaded. You can delete it and then upload a new one but that's all. If you save it to your phone make the changes and re-upload it you will lose all the likes, follows, or comments it had already gotten

That's not exactly what i had in mind. This is a past video that was posted days or weeks ago. If I delete it I lose the like and views from it. I guess you are saying their is no way to edit the original video instead of deleting it

Your option means not editing but deleting old video and uploading new video, unfortunately there’s no option to edit original video!!!

I'm always searching tutorials on youtube how to do other things and when I find a video very unhelpful I am still seeing people commenting how helpful that video was and after watching this video where he clearly didn't show us how to edit tiktok videos after posting it seems like those comments are bots and its pretty bad if any youtuber is deliberately getting bots to comment.
