Jan 31st: Obsidian has confirmed they are still reviewing it, but the lead up to Avowed has slowed the process down. They are about halfway through the total playthrough and so far, so good!
Feb 10th: The run is officially verified! Once my patch/letter show up (it'll take a bit since they have to wait for Josh Sawyer to get back from a trip to sign it) I'll do a follow up video
Feb 19th: Patch is in the mail and on the way!

Congratulations man!!!
I think the "defeat" thing should be OK, because many of those who have officially beaten the challenge actually killed themselves intentionally out of combat in order to gain an injury.
The reason being that the helmet Rekvu's Fractured Casque grants immunity to interrupts while injured (which really helps against the Helfire Colossus).

I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and have not commented before (that I can remember) but this sparked two things. One- this is insanely impressive. I wish my patience or skill level could take me through something like this. Two- a channel with uploaded playthroughs you do would be SICK. I’ve always wondered how you thrash these RPGs and seeing recorded playthroughs would be awesome and helpful.

After 330 hours of playing this masterpiece and repeatedly restarting after 30 hours, I finally committed to seeing it through to the end. My MC is a Mindstalker (Trickster & Beguiler), with Eder as a Swashbuckler (Fighter + Rogue), Xoti as a Priest, Aloth as a Wizard, and Pallegina as a Herald (Paladin + Chanter).

The only downside to Pillars of Eternity 2 is that you can't respec companions or adjust their attributes, which feels limiting. That aside, this game is a true masterpiece. It's unfortunate it didn't sell well, and Obsidian ceased supporting it just a year after release. For both new and returning players, I highly recommend the Community Patch and Enhanced User Interface mods available on Nexus Mods. These mods enhance the game and improve balance without breaking the experience. They even fix some abilities that were overlooked in the official patches.

Congratulations Mort, on this monumental achievement! You are a true power gamer and a role model for cRPG enthusiasts!

Grats, Mort! I'm pretty sure you are fine, it is how the game works, and they also stated that anyway how the game functions/ or reacts is good. So you might have been "defeated" cause it showed on the screen the game didn't register it.

Gonna be waiting for your result as anxiously as i once did. Thanks for giving this some much deserved light, i'm reliving my experience vicariously through it.

Congratulations! Would love to see the whole playthrough. Also you inspired me to try the challenge myself. Finished the game in turn based mode before, and seeing that only one person managed to beat the challenge in turn based so far, this sounds very tempting and scary at the same time!
