Why would Mewtwo throw a Shadow Ball against a weakened Dratini when it can throw a Psystrike?
Why would Mewtwo throw Shadow Ball against Dragonite when Psystrike is cheaper?
Dragonite did all the actual battling, so it might be arguable that Dragonite is OP, but I think your opponent also made some questionable choices that make this a less-than-stellar example of Dragonite being OP.
Important point though: it is amazing how little Metagross does in this battle overall, even when it resists all three opponents.
