Synopsis

A comet is hurtling toward Earth and could mean the end of all human life. The U.S. government keeps the crisis under wraps, but crack reporter Jenny Lerner (Tea Leoni) uncovers the truth -- forcing U.S. President Beck (Morgan Freeman) to announce his plan. Grizzled astronaut Spurgeon "Fish" Tanner (Robert Duvall) and his team will land on the comet and lay explosives, hopefully deterring the object from its doomsday course. If not, humanity will have to prepare for the worst.

This is an underrated disaster movie. But it is a hidden gem. I mean it is a great film with anazing effects and amazing acting.

The ending was so sad but yet in order for millions to live and survive those Astronauts choose the right choice because they are the only one who can do actions in right place and time... In this Film you will appreciate LIFE and how beautiful YAHUAH creations😇🙏

Sarah s Parents were sure proud of there Son in law for discovering the Comet 😊 they died sad in the wave but knew there daughter marryed a good guy and there baby boy is in good hands 😊

Usualy I don't like it, movies made for the theater that feel more like a TV production but "Deep Impact", though it feels like TV, it's still made cinematic (camera, music, solid script & directing)!
Example, "Volcano" is made for theater, but except the effects, everything else screams TV movie (still nice, though)...

5:20 Where is the mission control center in the movie? Because Florida along with the east coast is under water. Really good that they thought about this details. They really took the time to make this movie.
