Onlookers Gawk and Film Married Couple Passed Out In Apparent Heroin Overdose

A video that first appeared on Facebook Live - and has since gone viral - purports to show the sad effects of heroin use in broad daylight. The video, by Facebook user Courtland Garner and streamed in real time to the social media site Monday, shows a man and woman in what authorities say was a state of extreme intoxication on a Memphis street. According to police, the two people said they "snorted some heroin" in the bathroom at a nearby Walgreens, WREG reports. #InsideEdition

I was driving to pick up my nice from school when I spotted an older lady at the bus stop she looked like she was in distress. I immediately stopped my car to check on her, she was having a seizure. There was a younger woman standing close by without a care for what was happening to the older lady. It really made sad and mad the same time to see how there's no compassion or concern for one another.

My older brother was a heroin user, he's been clean for 12 years now and I remember how weird he acted which motivated me to stay away from drugs. This guy records the couple who ODing to educate young people about drug use but at the same time laughing at them, really dude?!

so what exactly were the bystanders expected to do...These fully grown adults ingested drugs willingly and were getting the results of that voluntary activity...and if they weren't carrying Narcan, what were they supposed to do?

I worked in auditing and one location was Walgreens, the complaints were theft of Tide, baby formula, razor blades, cold medicine and people doing drugs in the bathroom. The 3 Walgreen stores that I audited were eventually shut down due to the overwhelming theft and drug activity in the restrooms.

I remember being terrified of illegal drugs since I was a kid because we had a neighbor who used it and acted so weirdly. I wonder why people still experiment with it knowing its effects.

Good to know if you appear to be in great distress, having a stroke, or poisoned via drugs or other, that random people will laugh and take videos and leave you to die.

unfortinatly iv looked like that a few times :( fortinatly (thanks to God) iv been clean off heroin for 5 yrs now! :)

We live in a gross society. Honestly, I don't know which one I'd rather be less, the people who turn to drugs to cope and then pass out like weirdos while others laugh or the people so desperate for social media clout that they lose all redeeming aspects of their personality. Honestly, the apocalypse can't come quick enough

I have been stable on methadone for 4 years 4 months now and haven’t used heroin in that time. When I look at these people I feel nothing but sadness and pity because I know their struggle, intimately. Please don’t judge them too harshly, at this point they have lost all semblance of control.
