You should use the grenade crosshair for that, you'll have better luck aligning anything else but the normal crosshair for those lineups

Also if you can land that smoke is better to do so from top mid so your teammates can do literally anything else while that lands.

The only upside of that smoke over the normal CT smoke is that CTs have to look behind them to see it coming.

And that in any case the little left side gap that the normal smoke leaves that could be counter by someone boosting from CT is also closed but you won't see that often
