Su-30 has payload of 8100 Kgs not tons as said in the video.

Correction: you said 8100 tons but mentioned kgs in subtitles

Not exactly. Before any aircraft is designed, customer will submit the requirements that the aircraft would have to meet. If the requirement can't be met with single engine then design will be chosen with two engines. Number one reason for two engine designs is engine power and size/payload. Secondary is all the reasons pointed out in the subjet video.

8100 tons seems like just a bit too unrealistic

If this is your opinion and logic why did USA spend billions of dollars in developing F 35, a Single engined stealth fighter 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

China unveiled a new IFV, any updates on that?
Our bmp replacement plan has not seen any substantial development.

I think your engine logic is swapped. The F-22 is twin-engine and is meant for air superiority, the F-35 is single-engine is meant for multi-role. There is the same pattern for many other aircraft (F-15 air superiority, F-16 Multirole…)

Many prefer single engine in mass as double engine is costly and higher maintenance
