I'm so glad that I learned through independent journalism when I picked up on politics.
The legacy media can go off themselves.

I'll say this again: I "like" this video because I love you.

I invite everyone else to do the same to prove Chris right.

They are not the Legacy Media, they are the Legacy Propaganda machine. I miss the old days where they told you the news, not what news and how to feel and think about it. Thanks Chris for reminding us of the good old days.

I am so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who is tired of hearing the same old stuff over and over again!! Just the endless coverage of Trump alone should get all major news outlets cancelled!!

I remember a meme about 10-12 years ago that said, “so comedians are now the ones asking the tough questions?” At the time, it was reported that more people were starting to get their news from comedy programming than from traditional news outlets. Fast forward a decade, and it seems the news industry never understood or adapted to the reasons WHY people were getting turned away.

You have been one of the three sources of news for me since 2020, the other two being the guys from China Uncensored and the crazy dude down the street that it's wasted every day.

It’s funny how true that mindset is; over the past year I’ve been doodling up plans to have a small shack in the backyard that is a wifi dead zone, just a total cutoff zone for relaxation granted I’m in cyber security and my career revolves around the news, I get zero break from hearing bad things around the clock and it kills me.

There’s very few news sources I watch in my own time, your news channels China Uncensored, Gamers unbeaten, and this; have lightened the load I have to endure substantially with the satirical and light hearted approach to dropping bad news on viewers. But everything being bad news (career requirement) really makes me want to disconnect and come back in a month full of serotonin and joy after a good recharge. Alas.... too stressed to accomplish these things alongside maintaining studies & work side by side

The media died some 10-15years ago IMO.
But just like a chicken getting decapitated or somebody dying but some residual processes continue a bit after dying, this is just post-mortem involuntary activity.
When the media consolidation of the 90s/00s happened it was the nail in the coffin. When local media/news/journal groups closed down it was the terminal illness foreshadowing that the effect was unavoidable.

For younger people (<40) many of us in the higher age bracket have NEVER paid for cable: the classical avenue for media to disseminate info. A Majority of us never scroll through media/news websites to look at 'the news'...because we're too busy living life and preparing for the dystopia we're in to give a F46k about some stupid story.
For those even younger (<25) chances are they've either never done this and never will, or the user is a bot...bcuz nobody young watches 'the news'...we look only for specific topics we want to stay apprised of news on (IE 2A, China destroying planet, US gov trying to destroy murica, and porcupines fighting )

What is more hilarious is how 'dumb' these billionaires are: the writing has been on the wall for decades now. they seemingly don't adapt or are so slow to adapt that it takes 1-2decades. Then when times like now see their stock values plummet and revenue dry up, they want us to feel bad...because for years they made billions, but their diversification and backup plans were so bad that they weren't prepared for the day nobody cared about them anymore lol

And not a single thing of value was lost, when they decided Ad revenue was more important than informing the public they dug their own grave

The faster legacy media dies, the better.

YouTube shorts helps more than you know to the decline, reporters getting called out, and whenever they tried to stir the conversation to their big “gotcha” moment having the script flipped on them was greatness.

This isn't the 1950's, we have access to a variety of independent news channels. Unfortunately the main stream media hasn't caught up.

I used to listen to the news for hours while working at my desk. After hearing exactly what you said, complaints about Donald Trump, and then Covid, I checked out about a year ago. I checked out of the news on TV about seven years ago. I keep hearing about how terrible I am as a white man, so forget it. I never did anything bad to anybody because they didn't look like me. I catch the headlines at the top of the hour in the morning on the way to work, and then listen to music the rest of the day, except your show at lunch. Its made my life better! Honest news about what's going on would be nice. But if it's going to be the garbage I hear on every channel, forget it . I can tell what they'll say because its all the same stuff. I get what I need in the headlines. 10 minutes in the morning, and then I go about my day.
