Calculating Pressure Losses due to Friction for Turbulent Flow
Показать описание
In this video you will learn how to calculate pressure loss due to friction for a given flow rate, where the fluid flow is characterised as turbulent flow.
The friction factor is found by first calculating the Reynolds number for the flow and the relative roughness of the pipe. Then a Moody diagram can be used to find the friction factor. Finally, the Darcy equation is used to calculate the pressure loss due to friction at the walls of the pipe.
