I'm a blackman whose in his 40s...believe me this is a non issue..as the term was used constantly by black and white announcers in my youth...so in understand the term ology... and find it not offensive in anyway...maybe I'm just not that sensitive?

I'm black but I dont think ge was intentionally suggesting Westbrook was a slave or being racist he just made a horrible analogy

Once again Kristle, you're making a big deal out of nothing. The announcer did not mean it in a racial way because even blacks say when someone is out of their "cotton picking mind" as to say, this person is crazy. It's an old term and you're too young to understand. So why don't you do some research before you do another video and embarrass yourself.

Dear Krystle, nobody wants to hear your rants on so-called racism and your Philly bias. Please research your subject before making the video, because "Cotton picking mind" isn't a slur. Please don't act like an SJW and don't get triggered by little things like this.

This is a common phrase used by people in the South I don't think he meant anything harmful by it he definitely doesn't deserve to lose his job

as someone who lives in Oklahoma I've heard "out of his cotton-picken mind" and "wait a cotton-picken minute" these are not used radically but they have a questionable racist origin. Overall I think the announcer should be given some slack since he wasn't being racist. #ContextMatters

That isn't racist, just because a word slips out of someone's mouth doesn't mean their racist, it's becoming racist on both sides of the spectrum, the only way to stop racism is if we take off all the labels that society has given us.

That's tough. I never thought it would be racist I thought he was excited and tried to keep it televised. I don't blame him.
