Worst case scenario is, NEVER TAKE YOUR PHONE TO THE BEACH. Put it in a zip loc bag or some sort. After what happened to my phone, it went into a boot loop, i immediately took it to the car and put it on a fan. Nevertheless, still hoping that I'd get my data from the repair center.

If its not fully submerged in water and you just dumped some juice on it, well I just wanted to share what worked for me. I accidently dump some juice all on the end with the charger entry. It detected moister couldnt charge it. So what I did was use the vaccume, yes on the suction part for a few minutes directly on that end. After I carefully used rubbing alcohal and gently clean the entrance of the charger entry, then it worked.

I spilled water on my iphone. It kept looping the apple symbol: 30sec. apple logo then 10sec blank screen. Then it started working. The next day, it started looping again. Do you think the vacuum method will work at this point?

Just recently, I dropped my phone in water, panicked and took battery and such out and dried the pieces and placed them in rice. I took it out and found out that my phone can turn on, receive notifications and all, but my screen won't turn on and remains black. I went to Sprint store, told me that they do not look at water-damaged phones... What are my options? The phone minus the screen is working perfectly and i would hate to buy a new phone.

I dropped my phone in the bath i turned it off straight away and left it in rice for 2 days. The phone does turn on but the touch screen is not working. So im unable to go past the start up lock screen. Can this be repaired or is it just a paperweight now. There is alot of stuff I need on it but noway of getting it off.

This is a lesson learn if we know our phones are expensive we gotta keep it away from water at this point it doesn’t matter if there’s a lot of texts or your cooking near the sink these phones now are very expensive to buy if anyone can afford it instead of up grading there would only be an option to down grade for affordable price

I forgot my phone was in my bedsheets and washed it along with it. I only found out I washed it after an hour. can I still recover the device?

This helped a lot I got out of the shower and it said water detected so I left my phone on a towel and no case for an hour and now it’s fine. Thanks a lot I have having a mental break down

My 1-year old daughter grabbed my wife's phone and dumped it in the toilet. It's now sitting in a bag of rice. I did do some of the don'ts, we'll see if I ruined it or not.

Bruh I tried everything I left my phone on rice for a month and even used a vacuum cleaner to suck everything out and use a blow dryer after because their was no water so why not it wouldn’t push it in if there’s no water and left it on sunlight for like a day it’s not fixed or looks like it will ever be and I would take it to a repair store but I don’t have money or a job hell I am not even a adult my parents say they will but it will takes them months because they have to deal with others things what do I have to do? My idea was get a part time job I am 15 but they said no so what the hell am I suppose to do.
