Aloha Josh, I remember when you filmed that first video in the beginning and why. That was a very nice pile up on 10 meters that day with that custom go box.
Some weeks ago, I was the victim of an accident in which I was T-Boned by a girl on her cell phone doing 60mph when she ran the red light. I just spent another week in the hospital here in Honolulu and still so very sore and will be for a long time.
This new part is actually ideal for those of us that are disabled and just want to keep things quick, simple and get on the air. Not too much bending over, laying things on the ground nor picking things up.
I could even see this part modified just a little bit to hook the mast pole to the lip of the baseplate pipe, allowing everything to be set up as easy as 1, 2, 3. The possibilities are endless in this SPORT, eh, I meant, Hobby, lol! 😂🤣❤😂🤣

Well-done video! I just bought the 20-ft mast with the wheel mount and the mast topper. Looking forward to activating that that mast! FYI ... everything I've purchased from Chameleon is FIRST RATE!

That mast looks and operates just like my 20' telescoping flag pole.

This just might be what I need to get from me on the ground floor up past the 4th floor of my condo. Put the Chal mil whip and extension on top and I'm clear and free of the HOA.

The hitch mount you can make it longer if you have a welding machine And you can open the tailgate

I'd like to hear from northern US users who can share their experience with this mast in winter snow/ice freezing temperatures. The 'flag-pole' alternative masts freeze up and can be a real pain to collapse.

Thanks for the video! I'm considering the porta-mast for a semipermanent installation on my QTH. I'm restricted by FAA, so I'm thinking installing the top mount on my roof and using the mast to install some a vertical and a wire antenna.

I wonder if I would have to put up a second one if I have more than one vertical? Or would I be able to dual mount it?

The video did a good job of showing the mechanism, I'm really pleased with that! I can use that to take things down for storms and hurricanes!

Do you think that the 25ft Cha-Porta mast will be able to handle the COMET CHA-250HD HF vertical antenna? I am considering this as a semi-permanent install on the side of my house. The Cha-Porta mast is not as heavy duty as the Spiderbeam 10m mast, but its also not $600.
