New Life SMP Ep2 - Starting My Unique Base!!

Welcome to the NEW LIFE SMP! In episode 2 of New Life and this modded Minecraft series, I start by taking my airplane out for a flight and meeting up with Jimmy and letting him go for a flight...but I almost end one of his lives by him falling out of the airplane. Scar needs to go visit Owenge/Sparrow with his plane, because he's also playing as an aviator in this series. It'd be amazing to see the two bases link up their runways

Scar, I'm a pilot, and your runway environment is so good! I think a ramp area and FBO (Fixed Base Operations) would be a neat addition. Need to park and fuel up somewhere!

Hey scar! Just a tip for the plane railway: if you link 2 minecarts together with a minecart chain (from the create mod), and attach both minecarts to the plane with glass, it will turn smoother, as well as looking a bit better when it eventually goes up and down! :)

Instead of using rails and minecarts, I would use train tracks and trains. This way you can steer the plane at intersections, make smoother slopes and corners and use schedules. The only caveat is that train casings and train tracks are bit more complex to craft than rails and minecarts (but it's worth it!).

I love this series! It's a bit of a shame that you didn't realise you had powers when you did, but it's kind of fitting that you then became a human - a witch who believed himself human, and by magic that belief came true! Hopefully your next origin brings the magic back, in whatever form you take!

As a commercial pilot myself you did an amazing job! Two things I’d like to add: usually the red lights on the runway mark the last 1, 000 feet so you may want to move them up from the blast area a little bit. And adding some PAPI guidance lights on the side would be a great addition!

I love ScarPort and watching his plane always gives me unbridled joy! Also the fact Scar went from witch to human is hilarious. Also not 1 but 2 super fast build mode montages made me so happy!!

Flight instructor here….you should add REIL and MALSR lighting systems. the REIL lights strobe and the MALSR flash in sequence. You can use redstone and lamps for those and they would like super cool at night.

Adding a maintenance hanger with equipment, oil stains etc would be cool! Love the Vids Scar!

Hi Scar, as a pilot I gotta say that your runway is looking excellent, some final things that could be included though are gable markers, the holding points (double dashed, doubled lined marking) and if you're feeling fancy, PAPI and ILS localisers!

This is an impressive build. I was in airfield management for the USAF and from what I remember your markings are spot on. Tip for your hangers: when you're building your hangers and parking area make sure you give enough space for the aircraft to move around each other (this is called wingtip clearance). Hopefully, it'll not only help your build look more accurate but give you room for error with the create mod.
BTW, I'm new to your channel and I really, really enjoy your videos. They always make me feel better. Thank you for being a wonderfully positive influence.

I love all of this so much!
Little tip: Create has a "Controller Rail" that's basically a directional powered rail. If you put it under the airplane, you won't have to give it a little push every time.
Also, to get rid of the 'favorited' recipe in the top left, click and drag it to the bottom left.

The ambition for this type of world building is SO amazing, Scar.

Most Hermits are pretty nutso when it comes to doing a lavish base construction, but I think this one takes the cake for sheer audacity and ambition.

I cannot wait to see the finished airport, I know it’s going to be so brilliant. Core memory stuff (Inside Out) is going on here, honestly. This is very special. 💫💫💫

How can Scar not say 'Functional' but be able to say that mess of Freezers in his first try?! This man is bluffing, I guarantee it. Especially with how fluently he flies through Scarland on Hermitcraft!
