DIAGNOSIS: Retinitis Pigmentosa.
CHIEF COMPLAINT: The patient is a known case of retinitis pigmentosa for 20 years. He has c/o poor vision in both eyes. He has c/o short-sightedness in both eyes. He has vision in both eyes with difficulty in night vision. Central vision is good but peripheral vision is blurred. Due to the dimness of vision, he has an inability to read, and glares at strong light.
PRESENTING ILLNESS:
A 42-year-old male presented with a history of difficulties of vision in both eyes for 20 yr. But initially, his vision in both eyes was normal with good day vision. Later he developed difficulties in both eyes during the night since his childhood age. He has got loss of vision in both eyes and I am unable to figure out objects and colors. His central vision is decreased with blurred vision in the peripheral region The patient’s overall health is good but his eyesight is not so good.
PAST MEDICAL HISTORY:
no h/o any major illness in the past.
FAMILY HISTORY:
No family h/o RP.
