This classic mega hit (#1 for four weeks and in the top 40 for 18 weeks in 1983) is not an easy one to do especially as it progresses. The sweet lead singer did this so great. My eyes are watery when these kids do the old classics that my generation loved and listened to for so many years.

I can only give one thumbs up to this because that's all they allow, I'd give a million in a heartbeat, this version is every bit as haunting and beautiful as the original, well done.

Lead singer is awesome. And her demeanor is a big plus - relying on talent rather than histrionics and gimmicks. I wonder if the school recognized her vibrato and picked this song to fit, or if they first picked the song and then looked for a lead that could handle it? Probably the former?

Congrats to the whole band, Lexi's sweet soprano gives the song a whole new dimension. An amazing achievement given that the original is iconic.

I don't know if these young musicians know how much of a epic song this is and what it means to tens of millions..but I'll give them their props. They did it solid.

Wow 😳 This was Excellent! Lexi looks so scared singing when the camera is on her. A timid look. Then when she starts singing she has an extremely similar vibrato to Bonnie Tyler. Minus the Raspy & Smokey voice. She sang all the parts so perfectly soft to the buildup dramatic on the main course, and then so soft and subtle on the outro. What an excellent job. She brought her power voice up right when it needed to be but didn't overdo it. I'm so impressed with these students they are truly professionals already in my opinion. I played in three different rock bands and I can tell you that it's very hard to get a singer that can pull this song off and sound like Bonnie Tyler. It is a power ballad no doubt. But requires someone with a good vibrato that can be subtle and soft and then just belt it out. And the lead guitar work from the two Guitar 🎸 players it was amazing. The piano intro was spot on. And the backup singers, Megan and Michelle, they were in the right pitch so perfect. And then near the end when the backup singers Megan and Michelle are, were singing Lexi brought it a third above for the Harmony and it sounded so great. One of the best performances from the school of rock I've seen in a long time.

A brilliant production. The lead singer’s voice is nothing like Bonnie Tyler’s, she’s done a version that suits her own talents and that shy, slightly broken demeanour is actually more appropriate for the lyrics.

So much to love about School Of Rock musicians...incredibly talented, incredibly passionate...the kicker is their reverence for the music earlier generations produced...thanks for it all SOR!
