Anyone notice the shot of Bond and M standing infront of the Aston looking out over the Scottish moors is a homage to Connery taking in the scenery of the lower Alps in Goldfinger? I loved the way how Bond playfully threatened to use the ejector seat on M on their ride up. And finally, how Silva's relationship with M is not one of pure unbridled hatred; he wants them to go together. Skyfall: best film of the year, except for the Dark Knight Rises. NO SHAME IN

Which is sort of interesting because Ralph Fiennes was (sort of) considered for Bond back in 1994.

According to "GoldenEye" director Martin Campbell ("GoldenEye" was Brosnan's first time as Bond) it was pretty much decided that Brosnan was going to be the next Bond. But Campbell put a short list of actors to also consider for the role - just in case. And ALLEGEDLY, Fiennes was on the list.

Note to R. Fiennes - if I got this wrong, my apologies.

That opening shot where Bond is overlooking London looks as though it may have been inspired by 'Assasins Creed'. The other point I would like to make is that this clip needed more Bond music.

I still cant get used to the new movies without the original soundtrack from back in the days...

You make a fair point and maybe this is something that the films have adapted, but in the books Ian Fleming points out on numerous occasions that Bond is one of three in his profession at MI6.

@Gazza660 I agree with you--it looks absolutely fantastic! I love that it's continuing to dig into Bond's psyche, as evidenced by that brief flashback when "Skyfall" was mentioned. And learning about M's past will be fascinating as well.

U noticed tht 2?!?! I thought I miss counted or something cause my sister was like "No! There's nine coffins there!" Good 2 hear some one else noticed it. :)
