just take in mind, whenever you record with low latency mode on, your audio track will recording without considering the busses, once you finish record and disable low latency, the audio track on which you recorded your vocal or instrument will be routed again to the assigned bus :)

What if I have multiple tracks of the same instrument but don’t want to add the same effect to all. Do I still need to bus each track individually in that case? Or not bus at all?

so this isn't really what the definition of bussing entails. you're right, this IS just grouping tracks, otherwise known as bussing post-fader(like in pro-tools), but I need to know how to bus pre fader and not have the volume of the group effect the track.
