Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide © 2014 | We marvel at the fascinating landscape of Cappadocia from high above in a balloon...and from deep below, prowling an underground city where Christians once hid out. We’ll join a circumcision party, explore troglodyte ghost towns, shop for sheep at the market, and chat with an imam. Then we enjoy the modern capital, Ankara, and pay our respects to the father of modern Turkey, Atatürk. #ricksteves #ricksteveseurope #turkey

No one could understand how I love this man for his open-mindedness and beautiful view of the world and its people.
I wish people could learn from him and we could all live happily in peace around the world.
Probably impossible, but everything gotta start somewhere.
Rick Steves is such a role model :)

As a Turk, I can frankly say that this is probably the best explained travel documentary about Turkey. Even a way better than Turkish ones.

I spent two years in Istanbul on a project and was impressed by the culture and people. The people are very friendly and generous as well. Love Turkish food and chai.

Well done, Rick. There are so much misunderstandings, propaganda and bad journalisms that leads to fear, hatred and isolation. It is great that someone like you travel and talk to people so that we can understand each other better. May God bless you and the world!

Omg güzelyurt! They show the house of my grandfather! So beautiful, it is above the church of sant Gregorios! The house is still nice, a nice Turkish family lives there. People there are so hospital, so beautiful colors, very good food and music! Wow I hope one day I visit it again. Many greetings from Greece. Piece

steve ! i'm gonna say this....""you are awesome"".not only this episode but in each and every travels of yours no one brings up the rich experience that you and you alone are able to bring in.the best part of you which i find unique only to you is that unlike other travelers you explore the culture by mingling into people not just by checking out famous spots found on internet.

I love how he goes deeper into the country, out of the touristy areas. He gets to know the locals and experience their history and culture. That’s the reason why I like to travel. Love his videos...♥️♥️

Funny part is that I am learning about my own country from Rick's videos after being born + having lived in Istanbul for 18 years :D
