Also you have to remember that the main reason to Heel-Toe downshift is so you don't disrupt the cars balance as you braking and downshifting into the proper gear for the corner.

Awesome tutorial Evan! The main thing is to practice, practice, and practice! It is frustrating at first, but is very rewarding once you get it down. I also recommend comfortable footwear and trying to roll the throttle off of the side of your foot. I used to try to "heel" blip but everyone finds their sweet spot after the first few tries.

After learning how to heel-toe in my bug I ended up doing it every time I drove. Makes stopping a lot easier with those sketchy 50 year old brakes.

Just like you were doing, the one time I tried to do it with my actual heel it was way to awkward and I've got size 11 feet lol. I've found that using the side of my food or the middle like in your videos works best.
