Dupont may be evil but definitely not because of teflon. PTFE (teflon) is a commonly used plastic in a ton of lab and industrial applications due to its availability, chemical resistance, temp resistance etc. Its production does not lead to plastics in water or food sources and it is one of the safest plastics used. The only reason it isnt used for drink cups/bottles commonly is because polyethylene is safe too, but much cheaper

I have worked in dupont facilities and they treat everyone very well and take environmental practices ridiculously over the top seriously. Like it is frustrating how much we have to bend over backwards to make sure nothing spills or contaminates anything. Dupont takes it more seriously than pretty much any other plant I have worked at. And I have worked at dozens(contractor).
