EASIEST Automatic AFK Fish Farm Tutorial (Java & Bedrock) - Minecraft 1.20

Two issues I have found so far on Java edition PC I have to crouch in order to cast and I have to recast by right clicking.

This still works in Bedrock edition on v 1.20. They almost nerfed it with the editable signs, however if you just stand back a little and cast above the box and sign, the cast falls a little and hits the right spot. Use a little distance and aim just above it all.

You should really remove the Java and bedrock and just place bedrock because it doesn’t work for java

This is awesome... I spent all day fishing on a platform that was floating so far up that I couldnt even hear when I got a catch... this fixed that so easily

This setup still works, what i did is put one block behind the trap door behind the top chest and cast the rod at that you then aren't clicking around the trap door or sign and it just throws it out, easy xp farm

You can build it as instructed, but this farm does not work in Java 1.17...

If you don't have a name tag just try this regular and you should get a name tag eventually, and then you can name the fish

Try crouching if you are getting stuck on the sign or chest

My fishing rod wont throw because im looking at the sign but if I dont look at the sign i open the chest

I have a couple of questions.
How does the fish farm automatically recast the fishing rod? I can't go afk if it doesn't recast for me, otherwise I have to just keep checking on my computer.
Also, are you sure it works on Java Edition? I tried it and it didn't really work for me.

It's not letting me actualy fish am trying to cast my line and it's not letting me and if I do it any higher I open the chest. If I crouch it casts but dosnt auto catch

Is it fully afk? because when im looking at it it looks like you have to manually reput the fishing rod into the water even though it automatically takes it out, for example, how would I overnight this?
