All portable ac units are noisy when the compressor is running. The more expensive ones are a bit quieter but not by much.

Well I wouldn't recommend using one overnight. Generally you want to use it when your up and around. Water pools inside those and you gotta drain it manually. I got one myself today and it is noisy but the cold room is a blessing

This thing is very loud, impossible to sleep at same room. And I think I will have problems with returning it. So I don't know what to do with this. Probably I just take hammer and destroy this useless piece of equipment. Yes it's blow cold air, but it far away then 60db, probably around 80db.
