Micromouse Part 2: The Build

Welcome back to part 2 out of 3 in the micromouse series! Micromouse is essentially a hobby that I'm working on atm, and basically it is a robot that solves mazes! Can you please elaborate on how exactly does the AS538 encoder chip count the rotation? there has to be a magnetic disk rotating infront of it right?

hey kenry i see you are taking inspiration from project futura's kit mouse, the gyroscope they use is no longer available in the stores i have visited, what alternative are you using as a replacement ?

Great work, nice soldering, with very fine pitched smd parts they can be sky wired with 0.1mm enamel wire, 400C sharp iron, . if a design is made mirrored, , it happens, the chip can be inverted and wired down, . The key is to not cut the wire, loom it round the contacts, soldering as you go then cut the loops off with a scalpel. under a 10X stereo microscope. . good luck.
