I am so happy for you Elizabeth! How wonderful that you and Bill are able to go biking together! You get to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, and nature while exercising! It’s good for the body and mind. Last year I was biking around Mackinaw Island. It was so windy and when I was trying to pedal up hills, I could have used pedal assist. During that trip we also went hiking on the trails in the woods in the UP. It was so beautiful and we saw numerous waterfalls. Getting out in nature is so peaceful and I love it.

Glad you have joined the e-trike community! I was given an older Schwinn trike a friend gave me that he converted to an e-bike for me. I ride almost daily and the freedom I feel in the community and on our local bike/walking trails is rejuvenating! I’m 72 years old and enjoy life so much more now! Enjoy riding together!

I’m so happy to see Elizabeth getting exercise post stroke. Doctors recommend 30-60 minutes daily exercise to promote recovery and longevity and the trike will allow her to do it. Keep moving! It’s going help your breathing too. We’ll be seeing more videos of your treks around your home.

So the trike allows you to travel where you want within reason, and still do some exercise, but not tire yourself out, and when you are tired, you can just ride back home using full power.

I am so happy for you to be able to bike again. We have ridden bicycles since our twenties but I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 7 years ago when I retired and could no longer ride my bicycle. We bought electric assist bicycles 4 years ago and we just love them. We always have to pedal but those 3 levels of assist make all the difference. People have told us we aren't getting any exercise but they are so wrong. Enjoy!

I'm thrilled for both of you! This kind of bike just might work out for my wife who has never ridden a 2 wheeled bike! We are soon to move onto a 6 acre piece of land to be more self sufficient. Even in our current ages. Since there is only a narrow county road near our new home to be, looks like this kind of bike could be the answer for both of us as our land with the home is kind of in the mountains here in North Eastern Tennessee. Thank you to AddMotor for sending this bike to Elizabeth and to Bill. It is so wonderful to see her riding again and getting such enjoyment...she is glowing. I wish I lived in a neighborhood that was a bit more bike friendly. It is very hilly and not much room on the roads for a bike. I have thought a lot about having a trike with assist, and if there was a trail like you are riding on Elizabeth, even at 84, I would buy this in a heart beat. Elizabeth, I am so happy you found a way to go out and enjoy yourself without fear of overtaxing your lungs. You will be able to improve your lung capacity, and enjoy the process. I am close to your age, and also have lung issues. I still get around pretty well, but it's nice to know options are available for people like us.
