Moorcock's a bit of a contrarian, but I do enjoy his work. Particularly the ones with the doomed albino Melnibonean. I do enjoy in Elric how he subverts the epic fantasy genre, while also respecting what makes it work and why so many people love it. He's an author I wish more people would talk about. I might need to get those new books that they've put out...though I'm often hesitant to get omnibuses.

Moorcock is likely the most metal of authors, despite all the Tolkein bands/songs, as he worked with Hawkwind and you don't get more metal than Lemmy.
He also wrote some comics for DC in the late 90s.
But he does write in style - like a classic Christopher Lee horror movie.
Hope you like Black Company this much.

Love this stuff! I have all the Roy Thomas comic adaptations. They were really well done with great artwork if you ever get a chance to check them out...Jarrod
