Now this in specific is what really brought out HDR on the monitor for me. Just got this monitor and really thought HDR was mid even after the firmware update, so I was thinking I was just going to do SDR for now. But after this im rocking HDR completely now, now that I've gotten it to be as bright and vibrant as I'd like it to be. This monitor is amazing and just got better, I agree when people say that this is the best you can get on the market at the moment. Thank you for uploading this video, without it I would not have known this!

Just be careful of Digital Vibrance because you can blow out the colors too much and you'll just get blobs of color!

I have a PG38UQ and all of a sudden my games looked real washed out. Spent an hour playing with in game settings, Windows HDR calibration and even reinstalled drivers. This video was a life saver - thanks!

For those who had trouble installing firmware, move the firmware update exe from downloads to the root directory (C:\). After taking all precautions from Asus about unplugging all usb and closing all other programs, this solved it.

I appreciate the video. The firmware available on ASUS' site is not the latest version that is currently shipping out. This monitor is being returned. $1200 for a beta test experience is not the way. We must demand better from overpriced tech.

Just experimenting with these settings now. I don't understand why this needs to be done, shouldn't these products work well out of the box configuration? Am I messing something? I am not saying that this video wasn't helpful, it definitely was and I'm glad you have made it, but as a consumer I feel I / We have paid enough money for a high end product. We shouldn't have to know all the ins and outs of the technology to get the experience we paid for.

Honestly just increased the vibrancy by 2% and I’m happy enough. Once the games start, I don’t notice washed out colours anyway.

Ive been doing this for months but this isnt how its supposed to be, why even have a menu? We cant access anything. Nothing works on the app, its basically worthless. Ive never had a monitor or TV that works in this way.

Still color settings shouldn’t be greyed out on the monitor, I exchanged my aourus for this monitor and I’m going right back to it, gigabyte monitor was way better than this.
