I buy a generic version of Eliqus from India and pay ~$75 for 3 months worth - we are being screwed big time here in the states. I don't even use my Part D insurance because it's cheaper not using it - plus I don't feed the system.

Most countries that have universal healthcare have limited formularies to begin with. They don't have the various drug options we have to begin with. Of course, their physicians know what those options are so it may seem a little less complicated (yes, I've lived in a country with universal heathcare and there are pluses and minuses).

It's so impossibly frustrating. My prescription drug company pulls all sorts of tricks.
For example, I've had to take life saving hormones since 2002, because my Pituitary gland is basically dead.
Two of these hormones interact negatively with each other when given to healthy people.
Now, after 25 yrs, out of the blue, the company wants me/my Endocrinologist to get annual Prior Authorization!!!!
I'll have to take these for the rest of my life but they need yearly Prior authorizations??
Ridiculous!! Especially ridiculous to my world-class Endocrinologist who knows her stuff more than the Company Physicians.

As a former insurance agent in auto, home, life, disability - I despise these money-sucking Insurance companies.
*Thank you for these videos you make. They are valuable to us, even though lots of people don't know yet! 🙋🏼‍♀️💕

The ‘cross-eyed’ header photo made me laugh – my daughter does this too. This videos inspire me to continue my journey in Christ, minus booze, drugs, fast food, and chasing vanity, to continue without any medications until I depart…
