G7 Summit 2023: Rishi Sunak, Akshata Murty pay respects at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Japan

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Japan. Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida welcomed him and other G7 leaders. Earlier, US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron also arrived at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park to pay their respects to the victims of the atomic bombing of the city in 1945. The three leaders laid wreaths at the Cenotaph of the Unknown Civilians and observed a moment of silence. They also visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, which tells the story of the bombing and its aftermath. Prime Minister Modi will be attending the G7 Summit at the invitation of Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
