Worked like a charm, even when wireless card was automatically installed and given list of networks.

This doesn’t work anymore, I found a workaround… plug an Ethernet cable to your pc and then click next, while it’s searching for updates unplug the Ethernet cable and it will take you to the create user name screen

Thanks. I read about this, but seeing it made me feel a lot better.

I just wish Microsoft would offer updates that didn't need immediate follow-ups in order to repair what they fucked-up.

Still don't know why they don't just give you the local account option like they used to. A lot of users don't use or need a Microsoft account

(1). Do you have to install the registered Windows11 account first though? (2). How does Office 365 work without a Win'11 account? (3). Also, if you install Windows as a local account, does Windows still do regular updates to the comp inc' using/upgrading 'Windows Defender' if that's the anti-virus you use? Thanks. 🙏

I wish this is just a Windows 10X leftover and Windows 11 proper will allow you to create offline account as usual, because imagine how hard it is setting a pc for somebody else (there is making a throwaway account but still)

There is also how Android from then to now still allow offline un-signed OOBE finalization.
