OMG bless you SO SO SO SO MUCH. I have been playing this game for 4 years on console (ps5 player here) and my god the UI and HUD settings on console are a NIGHTMARE. Everything is turned on and my HUD and screen is a cluttered MESS. I have been trying to figure out how to fix things and every single video I go to DOESN'T properly show how to change or only shows short cuts, not to mention most of it is for PC players but at least you explain things that I can understand and apply to console for most settings. Some settings I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW about it and I have been trying to figure out how some people color things, mark things and GET RID of so many texts commands and crap popping off on my darn TV. I have been SUPER scared going into my settings and clicking things that WEREN'T what I wanted and this video honestly is a blessing for me. I'm going to try these out today because my lord console players are in for hell with this game. THANK YOU SO MUCH. You have no idea how much of a game changer this is for console players.

I have the target castbar as 200% in the middle of my screen because I am blind as fuck, changed it once and never looked back XD best setting by far!

Legacy movement + auto-face target when casting is so helpful

VERY informative. FINALLY being able to get rid of losing my target if I clock deadspace is a HUGE boon for me, thank you so much.

You can still backpedal on Legacy by holding ASD. Also, Legacy allows you to keep moving and use ranged attacks without turning around, which makes the kiting in solo deep dungeon easier.

I DO have an mmo mouse and I still use Q and E for abilities, it's just very comfy and easy to hit those keys. Lol

in PVP specifically i would recommend seeing all combat effects, too many times have i died to seemingly nothing, then i realized i had limited effects on in pvp

It was very helpful. I've been playing for 3 years now, but I still found something I didn't know about before. Thanks!

No one setting is better than another. It might be hard for some to understand, but there's a reason why these options exist. It's always good for people to show case what the pro and cons of the setting.

I have watched so many QoL tips videos but I think this is the best and most complete one I've watched yet. Amazing job

Some good tips here, especially with the role colours and all. Been playing for years and had no idea, this makes it so much easier to find the healer for extreme trials lol

thanks for Mouse sonar, Azu! i remember healing myself around 6 times instead of a tank, because while i was rotating my camera, my mouse was on my character XD.

On your comment about target focusing as healer I dont do much high end stuff but I macro my heals to work as mouse over or directly heal tank.

so like
/ac "cure" <mo>
/ac "cure" <2>

this way Im always targeting boss and can just hit 1 button to heal tank and if I need to heal some one else I just mouse over their name in party list and it heals them instead. its made life fairly easy since Im keeping an eye on player list anyway I just hit my normal keybind for it then go right back into dps

I'm a WoW player so for me i always press mouse right button. When i press A and D my character runs Left or Right without Legacy setting, and if i need to run back i turn my camera 180 degree and run, not sure if it is efficient way but so far nothing hit me if i'm not late to leave a mechanic.
I'm more used to rotate my camera angle than using WASD

This was the most helpful video on settings that I have seen, and I’ve been playing for about 8 years! Great job and thank you!

It would be great if you found a way to chapter the video, so individuals can quickly look for the setting they want advice on!
No, you're not weird, you're based for doubleweaving on the same button @16:50 Even better is to hire assistance from your local internet technician so they can hook up your internet for high-speed, 0-latency connection, making double-weaving even easier!

This is great to know thank you. My friend and I are just starting our journey in this

The reason I use Standard is flying around and using my left mouse button to look around while staying on course. I've learned to strafe out of bad spots so that's my muscle memory anyway rather than backpedaling.

Another small thing, because as a new (3 months) player, I really like looking at what other people are wearing and seeing how it looks on my character, the character window and the "Try On" window can be scaled up to give you a better look. Just right click the header and and select "Scale Window" from the drop down.
